what
All meditation practices have the ability to lower ones stress levels or calm ones mind, but many techniques require stern concentration, focus, or the use of outside stimuli. Vedic Meditation is a simple, effortless, eyes closed technique, which may be learned by anyone.
Originating from the Veda - (Ancient India’s knowledge, and the root of Yoga and Ayurvedic medicine), this technique was designed for householders - people who lead busy, active live, and does not require concentration, focus, or any changes of lifestyle, faith, or beliefs. As one meditates, the mind settles down to a state of Restful Alertness where one has a direct experience of the level of Being, the level of Bliss, the place of fulfillment.

why
Reduction of addictive behaviors - increased resistance to stress & anxiety - relief from migraines & headaches - strengthening of the immune system - increased energy levels - improved memory, concentration & decision-making - reversal of certain processes of biological aging - lowering of blood pressure & the risk of heart disease - reduction in the risk of cancer - normalization of sleeping patterns - an expanded consciousness from which to view the world.
how
Practicing for twenty minutes, twice daily, the mental repetition of a mantra (a meaningless sound) allows the meditator's mind to spontaneously settle to a place of deep, inner quiet while the body experiences a state of rest that is 2-5 times deeper than that of a night's sleep. After experiencing this quiet, restful state the body and mind are rejuvenated and primed to handle the demands of life with equanimity and adaptability.
when
The course in Vedic Meditation consists of four 90 minute sessions over four consecutive days either in a group setting or privately. A sequential amount of knowledge is offered over four sessions so it's important to attend all four to complete the course. Afterwards, students can expect to be completely self-sufficient in the practice.
who
After many years as a Recording Engineer and Computer IT professional, Rich Feldman learned Vedic Meditation to help with the effects of chronic pain, and his dependence on pain medication. Rich learned this effortless technique form Thom Knoles, (who in the 60's learned personally from Maharishi Mahesh Yogi). This experience was a life changing event for Rich, which is why he later studied in India and become an an Initiator of Vedic Meditation.
how much
Each student determines his or her own course fee based on a few guidelines and on their highest integrity. The system is based on a thousand-year-old tradition in India of equitable exchange. It not only allows everyone who wants to learn the opportunity to do so, but also sets up a powerful and reciprocal relationship between teacher and student - something of great value is offered in exchange for something of great value. The guideline for one's course fee is traditionally based on income of the student.
